The painting "Homecoming" depicts of two Sandhill Cranes arriving into a grassy estuary at sunset. This large painting was inspired by the beautiful avifauna, and burning sunsets of the west coast of Florida where I've lived the last 25 years. With the use of Liquitex's Acrylic Payne's Grey and Dioxazine Purple, complemented by Red Oxide and Yellow Oxide, followed by washes of Unbleached Titanium, I was able to create this vibrantly eye catching work of art.
